What is an SLE or Sober Living Environment?

According to the National Institutes of Health, “are alcohol and drug free living environments for individuals attempting to maintain abstinence from alcohol and drugs.” SLEs are not formal treatment centers, but rather supportive communities for those committed to their 12-step recovery.

What are the requirements for living in an SLE?

  • 72 hrs. clean and sober time

  • Willingness to work a 12-step program and abide by all house rules

  • Ability to pay all resident fees on time

  • Must be 18 years of age

  • Minimum of a 30-day commitment

What are the fees?

Depending on the location, bed fees range from $900-$1500 per bed along with a $300 deposit for move in.
